When using the Tests & Quizzes tool in e-Learning, and an instructor would like to use username/password authentication for an assessment:
An instructor must fill in BOTH the username and password field. Only filling in one of the two fields is not sufficient and will lead to unwanted results.
If an instructor only fills in the username field, as seen below:
- When a student attempts to take the exam, they will see the following screen
- Entering the username here, or leaving it blank will lead to the same error message for the student
If an instructor only fills in the password field, as seen below:
- A student will be able to access the assessment without being prompted for a username and password, as seen below
