Grades
Upload Scores Hangs In Large Courses
- System: Canvas
- Problem: In Grades, when utilizing 'Upload Scores' within large courses, after confirming your changes with 'Save Changes', the browser spins and then the page goes blank. This appears to be the case in all popular browsers.
- Workaround: Manually remove "gradebook_upload" from the URL to enter back into the course. Note: Uploaded grades will continue to populate in a matter of minutes but you must refresh the page to see this occurring.
- Status: Under investigation.

Inbox
Unread Messages Number Increases But There Are No Messages
- System: Canvas
- Problem: In Conversations (Inbox), the number of unread messages increases even though there are no messages to be read.
- Workaround:
- For Students: Please contact the UF Computing Help Desk by phone at 352-392-4357 or by e-mail at helpdesk@ufl.edu to request that your Canvas inbox counter be reset. Please note that your request will then be sent to Canvas and it may take some time before the counter is actually reset. Also note, this is a temporary fix as the counter may again increase at any time.
- For Faculty & Staff: Please contact Learning Support Services at 352-392-4357 option 3 or via e-mail at learning-support@ufl.edu and request that your Canvas inbox counter be reset. Please note that your request will then be sent to Canvas and it may take some time before the counter is actually reset. Also note, this is a temporary fix as the counter may again increase at any time.
