*''Problem:'' The Chat pop-up has been disabled within our instance of Canvas due to a bug that is leading to functionality loss within multiple course tools.
+
*''Problem:'' This happens based on the number of enrollments in the course and where they are listed in the list of enrollments. In testing, it would fail after 200th enrollment. So, any user you try to assign an assignment to after the 200th will show up as 'Loading...' as it seems Canvas times out after loading 200 enrollments. This does seem to only be a UI bug though as it does correctly assign them to the users and speedgrader shows correctly.

*''Status:'' A fix has been implemented by Canvas Engineers 4/4/15.

<h4> Documentation Incorrect For Importing CSV Files <b><font color="green">[RESOLVED]</font></b></h4>
 +
<ul><li><i>System</i>: Canvas

</li><li><i>Problem:</i> When a user goes to upload a csv into the Gradebook and you select the help option "What should the CSV file look like?" on the upload pop-up, it takes you to an example image of what is required in the csv in order for it to be uploaded. The problem is this image is outdated. It contains a bubble right above "Section" that states "Optional, Ignored." This leads the user to believe that the section column is not required in the csv. But if they attempt to upload the csv without the section column they get an error and have to add that column.
 +
</li><li><i>Workaround:</i> Section is not optional and must be included.  Required columns include: Student ID, SIS User ID, SIS Login ID, Section, Existing Assignment (###) OR A New Assignment (if you want to create a new one in the new file outside of Canvas).

*''Problem:'' When a user goes to upload a csv into the Gradebook and you select the help option "What should the CSV file look like?" on the upload pop-up, it takes you to an example image of what is required in the csv in order for it to be uploaded. The problem is this image is outdated. It contains a bubble right above "Section" that states "Optional, Ignored." This leads the user to believe that the section column is not required in the csv. But if they attempt to upload the csv without the section column they get an error and have to add that column.
+
-
*''Workaround:'' Section is not optional and must be included.  Required columns include: Student ID, SIS User ID, SIS Login ID, Section, Existing Assignment (###) OR A New Assignment (if you want to create a new one in the new file outside of Canvas).

====Master Percentage Not Work as Intended====
*''System'': Canvas
*''System'': Canvas

*''Problem:'' When a user is reviewing their answers, especially in the case of incorrect answers, the radio button choice appears to be fixed (selected) and a red "You Answered" along with a red outline around the answer appears. The correct answer is denoted by the colorless and/or grey "Correct Answer".  If a user clicks on the text of another answer, the radio button is changed.  A user could then take a screenshot as purported evidence that the system has incorrectly marked their answer.  This does not impact the actual recorded answer and the manipulation will revert upon refreshing of the page.

====Imported "Ends" Date affects Course Behavior====
*''System'': Canvas
*''System'': Canvas
-
*''Problem:'' When you have two question groups both pulling from the same question bank, but for different point values, this causes a situation where Canvas is giving the same question and getting confused with different results.
+
*''Problem:'' When importing content from one course to another, the "Starts" date and the "Ends" date in the previous semester (found under "Settings) can carry over into the current semester. If left in place, an "Ends" date that is in the past is negatively impacting course behavior.  Examples include quizzes wiping out student submissions, and being unable to send emails to the course participants.
-
*''Workaround:'' Discontinue administration of this quiz. Make a new quiz and if you really need to grab from the same pool of questions, make a second bank (that is a copy) so that each group can pull from different banks.

=====Display Name Modification via API '''<font color="green">[RESOLVED]</font>'''=====
+
*''Problem'': When an instructor uses Crocodoc annotations for a supported assignment submission type (primarily Word documents and PDFs), the Firefox browser frequently removes the last annotated comment when updating the score field in SpeedGrader. This behavior is a Crocodoc-specific limitation within Firefox that cannot be resolved by Crocodoc at this time. To warn about the effects of Firefox and Crocodoc annotations, Canvas displays a warning banner that says “Warning: Crocodoc has limitations when used in Firefox. Comments will not always be saved.” To avoid losing any annotations, instructors may choose to use another browser when providing Crocodoc annotated feedback, or try clicking the screen before navigating to another student.
 +
*''Workaround'': Use another browser when providing Crocodoc annotated feedback, or try clicking the screen before navigating to another student.
 +
*''Status'': Under investigation by Canvas engineers.

====Group Assignments Broken by Deleting Group Set====
*''System'': Canvas
*''System'': Canvas
-
*''Problem:'' An API call permits modification of Display Name despite Global Settings that do not permit this behavior via the GUI.
+
*''Problem:'' Instructor created a Group Set and an Assignment that was assigned to that group set.  Later, the group set was deleted and recreated with the same name.  The Assignment still appeared to be correct because the Group Set was named the same thing, but when students submitted, the Assignment treated every student as his/her own group.  There should have been an alert when deleting the original Group Set that there was an Assignment attached and that the new Group Set would have to be re-attached.
-
*''Workaround:'' None
+
*''Workaround:'' Make sure that Group Sets assigned to an Assignment or Discussion are not deleted, or if they are, that the Discussion or Assignment gets re-attached to the new Group Set.
