Resolved Known Issues
From e-Learning Documentation
General
Unable to See "Exit Student View"
- Problem: The New skin implemented has a minor issue that occurs if you use the "View Site As . . " option. You will not be able to see "Exit Student View" text due to the text being white and the skin being light gray. On some monitors, you may be able to see the text faintly.
- Workaround: Place your mouse pointer over the region where the "Exit Student View" normally appears (top right hand side) and click when the mouse pointer image changes to a hand, or highlight the region so that you will see the "Exit Student View" text. Please see screen shot for additional details.

- Status: No further occurrences are seen.

Instructor Comments in the Assignments Shows HTML Tags
- Problem: When a grader leaves comments for the student in the "comments" box, the student sees HTML coding in the text.
- Workaround: If the student submission was made using the "inline" submission box, the instructor can post comments by putting her/his comments in { {double curly brackets } }. The instructor comments appear in red to the student. If the student has submitted a Word document, download the file and make your comments by using "track changes" in Word. Add the edited submission as your feedback.

Users Get Email When New Post is Made to Discussions
- Problem: The default setting in Discussions is that users get an email notification every time a post is made to a Discussion topic that the user has posted to in the past. This isn't actually a "bug," as this is the common default on discussion board and blogs on the internet, but in large classes the quantity of emails is problematic.
- Workaround: Go to Discussions and click on Watch at the top of the screen. Change your preference to "Do not send notification."
- Status: Default settings has been changed. Resolved. --Jolaine 11:25, 15 April 2011 (EDT)
Gradebook Won't Export if Students are Enrolled Who are Not Associated With Roster
- Problem: If you have any students enrolled in your course who are not associated with a roster, for example a CE Student, Student or Auditor that you added manually rather than through the Registrar, Gradebook 2 can not be exported to a .csv or Excel file.
- Workaround: Make the person(s) inactive (Site Info and change the "Active" status to "Inactive" using the drop-down menu beside the person(s) name and click Update at the bottom of the list)and download Gradebook 2. Change the person(s) back to "active" status once the download is complete. If you make the person inactive, his or her postings, grades, submissions, etc., will disappear, but will reappear when the person is made active again. If you have a non-Registrar course where all students are manually enrolled and you need to export to a file, you will need to use Gradebook until this problem with Gradebook 2 is corrected.
- Status: Under investigation.
